Pros: easy online features, friendly in branch

Mobile banking is really important to me as I don’t always have time to pop into the branch of a bank, so I like to have an app on my phone, or a good website to use when it comes to transferring money or making payments between bank accounts. I recently opened a current account with Lloyds TSB as I really liked the sound of their online banking feature, and I wasn’t disappointed.

 

When you go to make a transfer online the website will call the mobile number registered with the account, and through an easy to use automated service, you will be given a code to enter before you can make the transfer. Compared with the models some banks use I have found this really convenient, as it means I can make a transfer from anywhere. I have even been able to make a transfer to someone new whilst being halfway across the world, which has really impressed me.

 

As for ATM’s there are plenty around so it’s always easy to get cash out, and everyone takes the debit card so I can usually use that wherever I go. I currently have the Club Lloyds Account, which offers a good interest rate, a small overdraft and a magazine subscription or some cinema tickets for a small fee, which they don’t take if I pay a certain amount in every month. It’s a great account.
