We opened our account 3 to 4 years ago with Veridian Credit Union and have been with them since. Some of the things that are really good is the ability to run any purchases as debits without getting a fee like you would get with Collins Credit Union. Another nice thing is being able to transfer from one account owner to another account owner, even if your name is not on the other person's account. They also have a really nice Smartphone App that is easy to use. You can deposit a check right from your smartphone by taking a picture of it. That is really cool! They are pretty advanced when it comes to stuff like that, and we love it. This Credit Union also have very convenient hours and are open everyday of the week. They also have very convenient locations in the Hy-Vee stores. A really nice feature is if you are getting a loan. Everything can be done through email. You can even sign for the loan online without having to go to an office to sign. It's pretty awesome! The only downfall with this credit union is that you are solely judged by your credit score. They have different tiers and depending on what your score is, then that is the tier you fall into and the rate you will get on your auto loan. We paid off our Focus ZTW a year ahead of schedule, the bought an Eddie Bauer Explorer. They didn't take into consideration that we always paid ahead and paid off our last loan a year ahead of schedule, they only went by our credit score, so our loan rate was kind of bad. That would be my only complaint and other then that this Credit Union is great!
