I bought a variety package of Friskies for my cat and kittens, thinking they would love the change of pace from their dry food to a wet food. They basically turned their noses up at it. After I read the nutrition label, I kind of figured why they weren't fond, it wasn't very high in protein compared to how many carbs there were in it. I read that cats prefer protein laden meals, stuff like what they would actually eat if they were hunting for food themselves, rather than grains and rices in their meals. My adult cat licked up all the gravy, but did not eat any of the shredded meat. I can't blame her though, it didn't smell or look very appetizing. It was cheap, about 45 cents a can running on special, so I bought a few and now my adult cat just eats the gravy, so I keep it as a treat for her. The cans are easy to open, with a pull tab, instead of having to use a can opener. I haven't really found any wet food that my cat does like, but she does definitely not like Friskies at all. The kittens don't even give it a second look. There are tons of flavors and types of wet food, and I have bought several for my cat to try, and they are not interested at all.
