For the first 8 or so months that I owned my Samsung Illusion, I thought it was pretty awesome considering it was known as a low end smartphone. Then, all of the problems that I was hoping to avoid started to occur. Reception went in and out, less and less apps were compatible with the phone, and then the phone just started turning off out of no where.
Until the phone started being all weird on me, I liked the feel of it and it is actually pretty fast considering that it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles. It does lack a nice camera, but just about every other feature that it does come with should work for most users.
I still think the Illusion is a pretty nice phone, but it just stinks that all of these problems popped up so soon. I wouldn't even mention these as potential problems for future users, but I have found out that I am not alone in having these phone problems with this model. Still, there is a chance to avoid these problems if the phone is extremely well taken care of.
All in all, I can recommend this phone to people who are just trying to find a replacement that won't cost too much. However, I wouldn't tell people to expect to get full functionality after about a year's use.
