I never got very used to Mac computers exactly, but after using the iPad along with other tablets, I have to say the adage, "Once you go Mac, you never go back" is very true for me. I hardly go anywhere without my iPad. I use it for work, games, browsing the Internet, keeping in touch with others through Viber and Skype, and much much more. The controls and usage are very self-explanatory, as opposed to quite a few other tablets I've tried out. The apps are easily updateable and my apps don't crash all the time like on our other tablet (an Android tablet). There is a huge variety of apps available which makes your iPad completely personalized to you.
The iPad can also be a great learning tool. I have several learning apps downloaded for my daughter, and playing on the iPad is always a special treat for her. It's also a learning tool for me. I downloaded an app called Duolingo and am learning German!
And Apple support is also the best, which I think is something very important in a company! When I had problems with my iPhone just a week after getting it, they replaced it for free. I highly recommend seeing them for any issues you may be having as it may be a simple fix! They're also always available to help out with usage tips and such for new users.
