When you have large senior dogs, joint health is a concern for you. One of my seniors is a 160-pound Alaskan Malamute and the other is a 80-pound Malamute/Husky mix, so glucosamine is a staple in my home. What I really love about this product is that my fussy Malamute will actually eat these chewable tablets. Usually, I have to pound them into powder to mix with coconut oil or wet food. Of course, I've also had supplements that claimed to be chewable, but were hard as rocks. These ones are actually easy to chew and apparently they must taste pretty good. They are also easy to break in half or quarters, if you have smaller dogs.
These Vita Hip & Joint supplements contain Glucosamine, Chondrotin and MSM to support connective tissue, cartilage, and joint and hip health. These chewable tabs also contain omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and vitamins C and E, which are especially beneficial to active, working, and senior dogs. Plus, they have added antioxidants to protect against free radicals. Just to give you an idea, a few inactive ingredients include fish oil, flaxseed, rosemary, and magnesium.
These supplements are made in the USA. I should mention that these are not just for seniors. Young, active dogs can benefit from them, as well, but if you have a dog with arthritis or that is starting to show signs of discomfort, I recommend trying this chewable supplement.
