Pros: affordable, helps control tarter build up, mini sizes for small dogs, pet oral care

My two miniature schnauzers love treats and bones.  Thel love to bark and they do it all the time, and one of the ways we get them to focus on something else other than barking is to entice them with something yummy.  We kill two birds with one stone by buying them dentastix.  They get their teeth cleaned and their breath freshened, and they get to chew on a treat that they love and makes them get healthier teeth too!  I bought them the mini version when they first came out with them, because my dogs are smaller and they get them fairly often, so I didn't want them to get too many in too short a period of time.  The dentastix are star shaped, so they get up and in between teeth and in the gums for cleaning.  The dogs love the flavor and the chewiness of the bones.  They aren't hard or crunchy, but they are hard and chewy.  They break apart fairly easily, so crumbs do get on the floor and carpet, but they usually clean them right up with no leftovers.  The dogs love these, and they continue to eat them with no problems.  I will always pick these up for my digs for a special treat!

When I got my pup he was just a bit over a year old. He wasn't taken care of very well and one thing that was wrong with him was his dental hygiene. I spoke to my veterinarian and she stated that I should get him a cleaning as well as try some dental oral care treats to help reduce any tarter build … Read more
