First, let me say that all three of my dogs loved this food. Unfortunately, my Malamute developed a huge hotspot within two days of eating it, so I had to get him something different, and just let the girls eat it. It's NOT the food's fault. He is really sensitive to certain proteins, so I think it was the bison. Just keep that in mind, if you have a dog with the same sensitivities.
This Taste of the Wild High Prairie Formula is made in the USA, and packed full of the good stuff you want in a dry dog food. Protein is comprised of bison, lamb meal, chicken meal, beef, and roasted venison.
This food is completely grain-free. It contains fiber, probiotics, amino acids, fatty acids, and antioxidants. Dried chicory root supports healthy digestion, and makes it easier for your dog to absorb nutrients from the food. There are also lots of fruits and vegetables, including peas, sweet potatoes, blueberries, and raspberries. I also appreciate that it contains zinc. Anyone with a northern breed knows that they are prone to zinc deficiency and lose hair on their muzzle from it. The only ingredient I'm not crazy about is the canola oil (GMO), salt (why?), and natural flavor (what is it?).
