Pros: dogs go crazy for it, no wheat, soy, or corn, quality ingredients

Of all the Taste of the Wild flavors I have purchased, Southwest Canyons Canine Stew is one that all three of my dogs go nuts for. I swear they can recognize the red can because they all get a little crazy before I even open it. It is as if they know what is inside.

This is the company's newest flavor and it is the only food I have found with wild boar in it. I imagine this may be what the dogs drool over. It also contains beef, lamb, chickpeas, peas, blueberries, raspberries, and many other nutritious ingredients. I like that it has peas instead of potatoes, giving it a lower glycemic index. Plus, the chickpeas are another great source of protein. My dogs love chickpeas, so I will often make fresh ones to add to the food.

Another reason I love this food is because it is grain-free and contains no corn or soy. This is very important because my Malamute has allergies. Plus, it is very easy to digest. Taste of the Wild loads its food with antioxidants, which I definitely appreciate. Dogs need antioxidants to fight free radicals as much as humans do. Also, this food has a nice assortment of oils, including flaxseed and sunflower.
