Pros: grain-free, great ingredients
Cons: contains rice, pricy

For how expensive this dog food is I really thought my dogs would go nuts over it. Do not get me wrong; they certainly ate it and there were no complaints. However, there also is never any drool forming while I am preparing their dishes either. So, either it does not smell as good as other foods so they don't get so excited or they simply do not like it as much as other flavors.

So, let's talk about why I bought it. I love that Taste of the Wild contains no grains. This is important because my Malamute has allergies. A bit of grains don't bother him, but I try to avoid them altogether. There are a lot of great flavors, but I got this Wetlands because it has quail, duck, and turkey. I have never seen quail in any dog food, so I thought they would enjoy having something new.

When you open the can it has a smoked scent. The smell does not bombard you like other foods, though. It also contains eggs, sweet potatoes, raspberries, blueberries, and some other great ingredients. I marked it down one star because it does have rice ingredients, which can contain arsenic. I would be happier seeing this ingredient eliminated.
