I am someone who constantly has to have some sort of background noise, or else my brain goes crazy. I have a larger television in the bedroom that I watch as I fall asleep, but until recently had nothing except a computer monitor in the office. When I found the Sansui SLED1953W on sale I jumped at the chance to finally add a "real" television to the office.
Sansui SLED1953W 19" LED Television
The Sansui 19" LED TV is the perfect size to sit on the corner of my L-shaped desk. This television has only a single HDMI port, so in order for me to hook up the Playstation 3, a laptop running XBMC, and a Blueray DVD player, I have to use an HDMI hub. The SLED1953W is, for the most part, a great little television, with a couple minor issues. The range of volume is not really that great, so any movie or television show that I try to watch with low volume is a lesson in futility. I also dislike the severe lack of options and settings. But as this is a tv intended strictly for some sort of background entertainment while I am working, I can't really complain too much, especially considering the cost.
If you are looking for a decent little, low-cost television for an office, kitchen or guest room, the Sansui SLED1953W is a great choice. If, however, you are looking for something to be part of a main entertainment system, you will probably be disappointed with this model.
