We had an especially damp rainy season this year in Hawaii, which meant the jungle conditions were even more humid than usual. This meant the perfect environment for mildew, and eventually a trigger for allergies. All that said, my eyes were so puffy I was pretty desperate for a super-moisturizing cream designed to fight dark shadows and heavy bags.
Most drugstore beauty creams can be pretty pricy in their normal, full-size variety. I wasn't quite ready for that level of commitment, so I picked up a small, travel size container of Pond's Rejuveness anti-wrinkle cream. I'm glad I went for the small, portable size. First, because it's totally adorable in it's cute little bottle, but moreso because the strong fragrance has a heavy talcum powder smell.
Quite frankly, the smell reminds me of every grandma's bathroom. Every one. Ever.
There's no other way to describe the potent fragrance other than: heavy talc which is certain to make you reminisce about the powdery soft cheek of your grandma.
It's not a bad smell, it's just not how I want to smell at this particular stage in my life. Which is a shame, because this cream feels wonderfully light and silky, and it does a fabulous job of moisturizing. I don't know how great of a job it did with minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, because I don't really have a bunch of those to begin with, but I do know the puffiness around my eyes diminished after regular use.
