Its winter time and hot chocolate is my favourite drink during this time of the year. I prefer to drink hot chocolate when it is cold because it gives me that extra energy to keep me warm and keep me going. I tried the "Cudbury Chocolate" drink and I found it too sweet for my taste buds. It is tasty indeed and does taste like real chocolate but its sweetness is just too much for me. At first I thought that I put too much of the powder. I normally put three teaspoonful of the chocolate powder for every mug of hot milk. When I reduced the amount into two teaspoons, it became so light but still sweet to my liking.
I may not like to drink it but my kids love their hot chocolate made from this powder. Obviously both of my kids have "sweet tooth". What I do with mine is mixed it with pure cocoa powder. When I make the drinks for my kids, I just boil the milk and swirl the powder into it. Since it is very sweet already, I normally don't add sugar into it.
This chocolate powder contains traces of milk so my Lactose intolerant husband can't enjoy a mug of hot chocolate with us unfortunately.
