In our family, we like spicy foods. Sometimes it is hard to find a happy medium between flavorful spice and something that's just hot. Heat does not equate flavor, regardless of what some people might think. We like to make our own hot wings and buffalo chicken sandwiches so are constantly trying out new hot sauces and recipes. I happened to see this Louisiana Wing Sauce in my local grocery store so thought we should give it a try. I bought some fresh chicken wings and set out to put it to the test that evening. The sauce is thick and creamy, and soaks in well to the wings. It gives them a good coating and adheres well after you toss them together. The flavor is fantastic. You can actually taste all of the different components such as garlic, vinegar, onion, and the hot peppers used in the "secret recipe." In addition to using it on wings, we use this sauce to make our own buffalo chicken sandwiches and have also used it to baste on ribs as they are grilling. There is, of course, heat but it does not overpower the flavors in the sauce itself. This one is definitely a keeper and will be added to our favorites.
