This is a new sparkling wine by Martini & Rossi and it is excellent. I don't like dry wine, but I don't like it to be too sweet. I liked Moscato champagnes but they have a slightly strange aftertaste so I mix them with other wines. I almost always mix two different types of wine--one dry and another sweet or semi-sweet--to get just the right amount of sweetness. I can drink the Rosé by itself or with just a little fresh squeezed orange juice (usually mandarin oranges or cara cara navel oranges depending on the season). It is very pleasant with no strong aftertaste.
The cost is comparable to other sparkling wines, which is not expensive, but a little too expensive to have all the time. Depending on where you buy it, it costs between $12 and $17 a bottle. Several websites were sold out or the wine was unavailable so I think the $17 cost I saw on one website had to do with demand. Of course, when you order alcohol on the internet, you are going to have shipping and tax added to the cost depending on the state. Some states will not allow alcohol to be mailed inside their borders, so if you want to order over the internet, you will need to check the laws in your state.
I'm not a wine expert and don't know what type of wine to serve with which food, but this sparkling wine is so light, I would think you could serve it with just about anything. It has beautiful wrapping so it also makes a nice gift and a good thing to take with you when someone invites you over for dinner.
