Ground mustard is just another seasoning where I like the seasoning but I don't like any other version of the taste. I'm really not a big mustard fan, but for some reason adding this ground mustard to the food that I cook enhances all of the flavors and simply makes the meals better. I can't explain why that is, but I know that I always have this stuff ready to use.
I think what I like the most about McCormick Ground Mustard is that it adds a bit of a mustard spice, but it never overwhelms a single bite of the meal. I honestly never knew that mustard had the ability to bring out other flavors while not taking over itself, but that is exactly what it does. It is a nice, subtle effect that I just don't get from most of my other seasonings.
What I have found works is just take a small pinch of this ground mustard and adding it in with sauces or to other seasonings and the tastes always come out just a bit better. I'm glad that I took a random chance on this spice because now I just can't imagine some of my meals (especially anything with chicken) without it.
