Both the Pure White and the Ice Flurry are mint gums. They are similar. I think I like the Pure White the best because it seems to be a little bit softer. Both of them are sugar free and sweetened with Xylitol, which means they are dangerous for animals. Xylitol is toxic to pets so make sure you do not leave it where they can get to it and you dispose of it properly.
On the label it says that the gum is clinically proven to reduce stains and whiten teeth based on a six week clinical trial. I don't chew it enough to verify that claim, but I do like to chew sugarless gum after eating to clean my teeth. It is not a substitute for brushing, but it's better than nothing.
There are 50 pieces in each little tub which makes them economical. They are shaped like Mentos candy and have a candy shell. If I am craving something sweet and don't want to eat any more calories for the day, this gum is a good choice to satisfy my sweet tooth rather than eating something high in calories.
Unlike a lot of sugar free gum, Mentos is stiffer, but not like the sugar free gums of old that were hard and lost their flavor after a couple of minutes. The flavor is long lasting. I really enjoy them.
Each piece has 5 calories and the label says that it has 35% fewer calories than gum with sugar. It does have sugar alcohol. I checked all my other two sugar free gum products and they also have 5 calories per piece so that seems to be pretty common.
I didn't know when I first bought this gum that it was sugar free. I just wanted to try it because I had tried Mentos candy. I like the candy, but the gum is better.
