My son is almost three, and it feels like we are always on the go. Having a snack that it easy to transport, in addition to being healthy, is one of the things that I'm looking for when I'm deciding on a snack for my son. Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers are one of our 'go to' snacks. They are super easy to transport into small containers. They are the perfect size for little hands to hold and eat. And usually clean up isn't too difficult if they are spilled in the car. Not only do we use them on the go, but they are also a favorite snack when home.
Although they are a processed food, I would still consider them a somewhat healthy option for a snack. Granted there are healthier options, but when compared to other processed foods, these snacks are baked and some varieties are whole grains. In addition to the cheese flavor, we also have tried the pretzel and chocolate teddy graham flavor. I feel the chocolate or cookie flavors are more like giving my child a cookie. So I tend to stay away from those varieties and stick with the whole grains or pretzel.
But these crackers come in a variety of flavors that most kids (and adults) will enjoy eating.
