I can't stand very spicy food but I love Indian food. The good thing about westernised Indian cuisine is the availability of not too spicy options such as medium Balti curries. Before my exposure to Indian’s diversified cuisine, I thought that there is only one type of curry. Amazingly there are so many of them and Balti is one. Like many of the Indian recipes I have cooked, this recipe is quite hard to cook perfectly especially if all the essential spices and ingredients are not available.
If I want to eat Balti curry, I don’t need to scout all the ingredients I need. My life is always made easy with Balti sauce by Sharwoods. All I need is to cook a very nice Balti curry is a bit of oil, chicken, pepper, tomato, onion and of course the Balti sauce. Several recipes using this sauce can also be found online. One major thing why I like this curry sauce is it is not too spicy. This sauce is categorized as medium spicy. I don't expect to be able to cook an authentic curry using this sauce but it is good enough for me.
