While Gucci Rush is far from a newcomer on the women's fragrance market, it remains an absolute favorite. First released in 1999, Gucci Rush remains a relatively popular scent.
I first discovered Rush in 1999 when a neighbor who worked at the cosmetics counter in a Macy's store in New York City recommended it. She offered me one of those scent cards that were commonly handed out whenever you walked through a department store at that time. I instantly fell in love with it.
Rush has a spiciness to it. Far from completely floral, it imparts a bit of gardenia, coriander, rose, and other ingredients. The overall scent is somewhat sharp and Oriental in nature. It is considered to be casual, but I think it's perfectly wonderful for evening and more formal use as well.
Initially, Gucci Rush goes on quite heavy. But it dissipates quickly, leaving you with a great scent that won't knock other people over. Just be sure to go light with it. A single spritz will go a very long way.
I've been using Gucci Rush as my 'going out' scent since 1999. If you like a bit of spiciness in your fragrance choice, Gucci Rush EDT may be ideal for you. Test it first, as not everyone wears it the same way due to body chemistry.
