The Beast definitely earns its name. This 15-in-1 power source serves a whole lot of purposes and quite honestly I am considering getting another one just so I have the extra power, if I need it. I live in a rural area that loses power constantly. After being without power for a total of 10 days this past December (once was for five full days), I vowed to become more emergency prepared for 2014. This is what prompted me to buy The Beast, which I have already put to a lot of good use in the few short months I've had it.
Many people will but this simply because you can jump the battery of your car with it. Obviously, this is a bonus when you live somewhere that sees plenty of negative temperatures, as I do. However, I purchased it for the power supply.
First, it has a 400-watt inverter with two AC outlets. I have already used this during a more recent power outage. I was able to plug in my internet, cable modem, and a small 9-inch television while I worked, so I would not miss a deadline. It still had plenty of power after three straight hours. I charged it a while in my car while driving to go buy water and other supplies, and then I used it for a small lamp all evening. There is also a USB port to charge your phone, as well as a 12V port.
Also, it has an air compressor that I use constantly. It is the coolest feature because you just hook it up to the valve and the screen tells you exactly how much air is in the tire, so there is no guessing. There is even a bright light to turn on so you can see when you fill your tires at night.
To charge you can plug it into an electrical outlet or the 12V outlet in your car. There is even a small solar panel on the front that accepts a trickle charge.
