I have long, thick and heavy hair. When I straighten it, it becomes really flat on the top because of the length that weighs it all down at the bottom. I have tried different products to help lift my hair up, and teasing is not an option, because it just creates a mess! I have tried several different products to help lift and control the lift also, like hairspray. It just ends up making my hair sticky and not smooth or shiny looking. I have frequently seen commercials for this new shampoo from dove that has oxygen bubbles infused into the shampoo in order to lift hair at the roots. The shampoo itself is extremely thick. I didn't anticipate that, and it was difficult to work though my already tangled hair. The shampoo is pretty much unscented, and my hair felt clean after washing with it. Perhaps I saw little to no results because I was not using the conditioner also, but after using the shampoo and seeing little to no results I figured that's probably what would happen with the conditioner also. It isn't a bad shampoo, it still cleaned my hair, but I didn't get any lift off of it after straightening my hair. I wouldn't spend any more money on buying these products.
