I have fairly long hair and with that comes a lot of work. I have been quite good with my hair by making sure to use metal free hair bands, using little heat styling products, avoiding hot showers and washing my hair every 3rd day. It might seem a little disgusting to some of you, but I make sure that I take care of my hair by using dry shampoo on the days where I don’t wash my hair. Washing your hair every day is actually really bad for your hair as well as the scalp, because it will dry out your skin and hair. I’m quite lucky that my hair doesn’t get greasy easily either so using dry shampoo on my third day hair gets me through the day.

Even though I take very good care of my hair, it has been feeling really dry and looking frizzy lately, so I thought it was time to change up my hair care routine and introduce a different shampoo and conditioner combo. I have been mostly using the L’oréal Nutrigloss shampoo and conditioner for a few years now and up until now I was really happy with it. But I guess it’s time to move on. One of the new criteria for shampoos and conditioner is now that it needs to be silicone and sulphate free.

I bought the L’oréal Eversleek conditioner, because it was on sale for £0.75. I’m not sure what the original price was. I think it was around £5-6 so I was actually quite chuffed that I managed to grab this bargain. I have to say that this conditioner smells divine. But I don’t really care so much for the fragrance as the actual result. This conditioner is supposed to help smooth out and nourish frizzy and overworked hair, so exactly what I need.

After shampooing my hair, I like to use a generous amount of the L’oréal Eversleek on my hair and leave it on for 5-10 minutes, before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Afterwards I wrap a towel around my head and let it soak up the moisture before applying a leave in treatment into my hair. Normally, I don’t use a hair dryer, but since it is winter I have to use one, otherwise my hair will never dry. Since using this conditioner my hair has definitely improved and it’s less frizzy and dry, but at the same time I was hoping that it would give me better results. Nevertheless, considering the price that I have paid for this product, it was worth the money and I’m pleased.

Overall, I can recommend this product. I’m not sure whether I would repurchase it, because I was expecting better results, but it is still a very good product. I don’t really spend a lot on shampoos, but I do like to spend a little money on a good conditioner or hair mask, because they can make a big difference in your hair and after all it’s just the same as spending money on skincare.
