I spend a lot of time on the computer and use my mouse a lot. About two years ago, I started having wrist pain and pain that radiated all the way up my arm. Knowing someone who had carpal tunnel syndrome, I didn't want to let me wrist get that bad so I started researching for a good ergonomic computer mouse.
I tried the track ball style mouse and absolutely hated it. I sold it, went back to the drawing board, and found this Contour mouse. Within a couple of days of using the Contour mouse, my wrist pain went away, never to return.
What makes the Contour mouse special and worth the rather hefty price tag? The Contour mouse comes in different sizes...that is a major key to how well it fits my hand. The small size is perfect for my small hand. The shape of the mouse is beyond comfortable, but the feature that I like the most is the scroll wheel is on the side where I scroll using my thumb.
The scroll wheel on most mouse devices is on the top of the mouse where you use your middle finger to scroll. It is a very unnatural movement for your finger - scrolling with the thumb is a much more natural movement.
It is almost time for me to replace my mouse as it is pretty beaten and banged up; my next mouse will be the Contour mouse in the new black color.
