All of my computer products are made by Apple, I really get on with their range, and I am constantly impressed by what they have to offer. They certainly aren’t the cheapest brand on the market though, and when it comes to buying accessories, they are sometimes way out of my price range. I decided to purchase this iHome Wired Mac Mouse as an alternative to the official Apple mouse, as it was a lot cheaper, it looked the same, so I thought I was saving myself a lot of money.
The mouse is based around the Apple’s most modern mouse, it’s white and sleek in design, sitting low to the desk and crafted around the hand quite expertly. This is where the similarities stop though, as it certainly does not feel anything like the real thing. The material the mouse is made from is really clunky and cheap, it definitely isn’t as smooth to hold and it feels rather poor quality in your hand.
As for functionality, it also fails there. I really like the rollerball feature in a mouse as it saves a lot of time, but this one does quite the opposite, as I find it really unreliable and rather scatty. The same goes for the mouse movement, sometimes it moves where I want it to, other times not. I certainly won’t be using this again, in the end I forked out for the real McCoy, so this cost me more money than if I’d just done that in the first place.
