I bought Logitech's wireless mouse for my son after he started complaining about connected a wired version to his laptop. He enjoys gaming on his computer and didn't like the feel of a regular mouse. When I bought this product I was concerned that it would be difficult to install. It couldn't have been easier. The included receiver simply plugs into the laptop, and you're ready to go!
When I asked my son what he likes best about this mouse, he said it was the fact that you can sue it on almost any surface. The product packaging notes that you can use it on glass, but it also works perfectly well on carpet and even when my son puts it on his leg while sitting on the floor. He also likes the comfortable grip. In comparison to his old, wired mouse, he said that Logitech's wireless one was much more comfortable in his hand -- especially when he's using it for a long time.
The only drawback is that the battery runs down quickly. That said, it has a rechargeable option. You can plug the mouse (with a rechargeable battery) into a wall outlet while you aren't using it, letting it power up.
The mouse is pricey, but well worth it. It's well-made and stands up under my 12-year-old's often not-so-gentle use. We've had it or months with no problems, making it a value for the money in my eyes.
