Pros: close shave, cost effective, glides over skin easily, lubrication strip

I wasn’t really aware of the perils of razors for men until I went shopping with my boyfriend for a new razor, and he had a tough time deciding which one to go for. Wet shaving for men can be quite a painful experience, so understandably he wanted one that would make it as comfortable and pain free as possible.

He opted for this Gillette Mach 3 razor, which is a classic, and known to everyone as one of the best wet shave razors you can buy from the pharmacy. The three blades seems to be the ideal number when it comes to shaving, my boyfriend has tried ones with more blades, and they have irritated the skin too much, which is why he thinks three is the magic number. The three blades allow even the smallest hairs to be sliced away against the skin, giving you a really close shave and keeping your face smooth and feeling soft.

The razor feels weighty when you hold it in your hand, which makes it feel quite expensive and as though it will last a long time. It also has a few rubber stripes running along the handle, which is great for gripping it when you’re covered in water and shaving foam.
