I have been looking for a pair of flat irons ever since I moved to Orlando. Why? I left my old ones in Birmingham. If any girl is reading this, then the sympathy for me not having a pair of flat irons for over a month is there. Thank goodness I found one. I went to Target and decided to not buy cheap flat irons like I always do. They end up being not so good, and wear easily. I saw these Toni and Guy flat irons and decided they would work well. They are a little pricey, about $45 after tax. Honestly, if you want a decent flat iron, a lot more money need to be spent. I was impressed by these however. The first thing I love about these flat irons are the ceramic plates. They are extremely smooth and wont catch on your hair. I remember way to many instances where strands of my hair were pulled out because they were caught in between the plates and the back of the flat iron. The plates glide on the hair with no tugging and no pulling whatsoever.
The only problem I have is that the plates are not covered by any plastic or coverings, so I have yet to still get the hang of using these without burning myself in multiple places.
The flat iron has multiple heat settings to fit any hair type. They are not too heavy, but they don't feel cheap either. My hair is coarse, and these straighten my hair nicely. It does not burn my hair it makes it smooth. These are great and they seem as if they will last a long time. Im happy with my purchase!
