You know how sometimes you spend tons of money on complex solutions to a problem in your life, only to figure out that the simplest, least expensive solution was the only one you needed to purchase? That is what recently happened to me when I started experiencing severe pain in my neck from working hunched over on my computer for much of the day.
First, I tried the sit and wait for it to get better on its own approach. After that didn't work, and the pain only grew worse and began traveling down my back, I got a professional massage. Anyone who has had a massage knows they are not cheap. That helped for a few hours, and then the pain returned once again. I
tried stick-on heat packs from the grocery store. The heat was nice given the cold weather, but that was the extent of the product's usefulness to me. Then I bought a neck massaging pillow, which turned out to be so loud that I returned it to the store, not to mention it had about as much pain-relief potential as turning my phone on vibrate mode and taping it to my neck.
I had pretty much given up on finding anything that would work when I headed over to my local Dollar Tree on Thanksgiving morning to pick up some cooking pans. I noticed this menthol pain-relief stick and decided to give it a try since it was only a dollar, after all. As soon as I rubbed the stick on my neck upon arriving home, I noticed a great deal of the pain subsided. The minty scent is really refreshing as well, and I love how soft the rub makes my skin! The pain relief does wear off after a couple of hours, but since the product is so inexpensive and so easy to apply, I just use more when I need it. If only I had tried this first, I could have saved myself a ton of money!
