This item provides both practical and aesthetic values. It adds beauty to the room wherever I put it. It fits in well on our mantel piece. I can also put in in my display cabinet and sets well with my other displays. It is always a pleasure to my eyes wherever I put it.
Aside from its aesthetic value, Galileo thermometer has a practical value as well. Obviously as a thermometer it gives me an idea of the current temperature of the room. The different balls inside the tube have their specific temperature values. The one I have has a lowest and the highest temperature of 26 0C and 18 0C respectively. This means that it is has the capacity to measure room temperature within this range only. When the 26 0C ball is at the top most, it means that the temperature in the room is 26 0C or higher. If the 18 0C ball is on the top most, it means that the temperature is 18 0C. If all the balls are at the bottom, it means that the room temperature is lower than the smallest value which is 18 0C.
One disadvantage of this thermometer is its limited capacity to measure wide range of temperature values.
