My home will never be without a bottle of Gorilla super glue. As far back as I can remember I always bought the cheapest superglue I could find. Then, of course, I would complain when it didn't hold. A couple years ago I ordered a bottle of Gorilla super glue, and now I always make sure I have some on hand.
When the bottle says this stuff will hold everything it is no exaggeration. My passenger side mirror of my car has been held on by this for over a year after the garage opening shrunk on me one day. This past winter I fell on the ice and broke one of my lenses out of my glasses and cracked the frames. Not wanting to splurge on a new pair quite yet I glued the lens in the frame. Does it look perfect? No, but it works. When my new portable air conditioner arrived with a broken wheel, I glued it back together and it is supporting nearly 100 pounds of constant weight.
A little goes a very long way. So, when you read the bottle and it says to use sparingly it means it. If you use too much it takes forever to dry. So, you will be standing there holding whatever you are gluing for a while. Also, although it typically dries clear on most materials, it did leave behind white marks on my black Prada frames. Had I not used so much this probably would not be an issue. So, again, use it sparingly, and I suggest a color test.
