I usually take out a separate policy for phone insurance, but after doing some research online I found that my bank offered a good rate of insurance, so I decided to go with Barclay’s Tech Pack to cover my phone.
I thought it was the easiest and simplest way of protecting my phone, and as I had one of the latest smart phone models I really felt like it needed some cover, and it was a very easy policy to take out. The other thing I really liked was the idea that if I ever had an issue with the cover and making a claim, at least there was somewhere I could go to talk to someone face to face, rather than having to do everything over the phone through an insurance company.
The policy I took out covered two phones, as long as I had a joint account, which was a much cheaper option than both my boyfriend and I taking out separate policies. It also covered a lot of different scenarios, from theft or accidental damage, to loosing the phone or it breaking. I never did have to make a claim against the cover, so I cant say if everything goes smoothly on that side, but it was easy to take out and easy to understand the terms and conditions.
