I have been taking out travel insurance since I was a teenager and started to travel alone. I once lost my bags and went through a terrible time trying to have them recovered and then incurred a huge expense when they weren’t found, so from there on in I have vowed never to travel abroad without insurance.
I found insureandgo a few years ago when I was searching online for a cheap but reputable travel insurance provider, and I have used them several times since. They always seem to offer very competitive quotes for all my trips, and they also offer an annual multi trip insurance policy, which is what I had last year because I knew I was going to be taking a lot of trips, and it saved me a lot of money in the long run.
Both my boyfriend and I were put on their multi trip plan, which worked out really very affordable compared with us both taking out policies for every trip we went on. We decided to opt for the silver cover as it offered medical screening and a lower excess for just a small sum more than the budget cover, and as we were heading to some remote areas and doing some activities we decided it was the best bet.
We never had to make a claim, but the policy had me travelling with peace of mind.
