I have had this Black and Decker toaster for about 3 years. It was pretty cheap, at $20. I use it for toast, bagels and english muffins. Although it doesn't get a whole lot of use around my apartment, it does the job when needed. It has 5 heat settings, and I keep mine around 3, since 5 tends to burn. It seems like it does take forever, but it gives me perfectly toasted bread every time. There are three indicator buttons on the side, one which allows you to cancel the toast, so the bread pops back up without you having to force the lever. One button on the side is for a bagel, which is convenient too. The other button is for frozen items, and keeps it in longer. The cord is a bit short, so it can't be too far away from the outlet. I also wish that food items would pop up a little further than they do, because most of the time I end up burning my fingertips trying to grab something out of it. All in all, it's a toaster, it does the job and toasts my bread when I want it toasted, I can't complain, it was only $20. When I move into a house and have nicer appliances, I will probably get a new toaster, but for my age and college students, this is a perfectly reliable toaster.
