Who doesn't love a delicious cup of coffee in the morning? If your household is anything like mine in the morning, everybody running around and always running late, you need your coffee to fix itself pronto. I have had my Keurig K-45 for almost 6 months, and have loved every minute of it. It takes around 3-4 minutes for the cup to be completely filled, and the coffee is always hot. I have had coffee makers where the coffee is only lukewarm, but that is not the case for this Keurig.
Front of Keurig
It is very easy to use, even for people that have never used a regular coffee maker before. It has 3 buttons on the bottom-right corner, those indicate the size of the coffee you want to make. The only drawback is that it does not give you ounces, just sizes. I usually press the middle and then the large button to fill my 16oz cup, so you just have to play with it a little.
The Keurig K-45 also has an automatic on/off button, which I hardly use since I turn it off myself. I am sure I will end up using it once in a while. It also has a little light come up whenever the water is heating. It usually heats for about 10-15 seconds, depending on how much water you have in the tank. Once the water has gone through the heating process, you can choose the size of the coffee you want to make.
I usually choose which k-cup I want to use while the water is heating. There are so many flavors and roasts to choose from, that even that is a tough choice. I tried the pumpkin spice one, and it is out of this world. That good.
Ok, once you have chosen your k-cup, lift the little gray handle, place the k-cup in there and then close. Inside the k-cup slot you will find a little sharp needle, so be careful when placing the k-cup in there. Once you have inserted the k-cup, three lights on the right will light up. Here is where you choose the size. Choose your size, and watch your delicious, hot coffee gently fall in your coffee cup. Very simple indeed.
Bottom piece moved, buttons showing
This coffee maker is very easy to clean, and the parts are easily removable. The water tank on the right is made of durable plastic, and requires only a quick rinse. Same for the bottom shelf where you place your cup. I tend to wash this by hand, since I get coffee on it every once in a while.
Overall, this coffee maker is perfect for a single user, or for small families.
