I have had my Sharp Carousel microwave for about 6 years now, and it gets the job done. There are things I really like about it. I like that it gives you the option to enter what kind of food you are defrosting as well as the amount, and it has a "check" time while defrosting, that way you don't accidentally cook food inside while defrosting when we get too busy. The carousel is really easy to clean, and I take the plate out of the microwave about once per week and just stick it in the dishwasher to wash. It has the standard timer and clock function, but which I use often. I also like that you can just press the START button, and it adds one minute to the time and starts cooking right away. It heats food evenly and quickly, and I haven't had any mishaps with it. Its pretty easy to move and is smaller than other microwaves that I have had, so I can clean under it frequently and move it as I need to to rearrange my kitchen. The only downside to my microwave is that it is a smaller Carousel, because I had it through college, when I really didn't need a large one. Some larger plates and bowls don't rotate fully because they get stuck, so I have to be careful what I put in there. It definitely doesn't degrade the working order of this microwave though. Definitely recommend, they are reliable, tough microwaves!
