Pros: cruelty-free, eco-friendly, high-quality, improves your skin, long-lasting, looks very natural on skin, suitable for all skin types, vegan
Cons: only one shade, slightly expensive

I have recently decided to go cruelty-free and switched my all skincare and makeup products. However finding cruelty-free products was a little more difficult than I expected, because a lot of companies that claim not to test on animals actually still do. An example of a pseudo cruelty-free company is Urban Decay, who sell their products in China and are owned by L’oréal. L’oréal is known to test on animals. Urban Decay itself doesn’t test on animals, but they sell their products in China, where it is required by law to have beauty products tested on animals. Most likely Urban Decay assigns a third party to conduct these tests, but that means that this brand is actually not cruelty-free as they claim.

It took me a lot of time and doing a lot of research trying to find brands that are truly cruelty-free and one of the brands that I found is Klairs. Klairs is a Korean brand that focuses on creating cruelty-free and eco-friendly products that are suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Most amazingly, a lot of their products are also suitable for vegans! I have been using their skincare for the past 6 months and my skin feels and looks phenomenal. The latest product I have been using is the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream. It is a BB Cream with SPF 40 to protect your skin against harmful UV rays and prevent premature aging. This product is suitable for all skin types. I have combination skin with extremely dry and oil areas on my face and this BB Cream works really well. A lot of Korean BB Creams will make your skin look ashy, but this one looks natural like second skin but better. It

I like the tube packaging. It’s simple yet practical and that’s all I need. This BB Cream comes in one universal shade, which is a shame. I wish BB Creams would come in a variety of shades. Fortunately, this shade suits me, although right now it’s a tiny bit too light for me, since I have a tan. The formula of this product is quite creamy, but it does not feel heavy on the skin. It is quite moisturising and makes my skin feel super soft and hydrated. The finish is really natural and dewy and you can’t really tell whether I am wearing any makeup or not. If you have oily skin and don’t like to have dewy looking skin you can always use a translucent powder for a matte finish. I like to apply the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pressed Powder on my oily areas to set the BB Cream.

I have been loving this BB Cream and I cannot wait to try out more products by Klairs. They have recently released a Cushion BB Cream and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I can highly recommend the Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream and I will upload the reviews of their other products soon. They are high quality and truly amazing.
