The Falsie Volume Express mascara
**Before I start my review on Maybelline The Falsie Volume Express mascara I have to add a small disclaimer that Maybelline is my favourite brand and this is my favourite mascara so I might be a little biased.**
Maybelline The Falsies Volume mascara is meant to give you natural eyelashes that rival those that can bought, not only is it meant to increase the volume but also the length and curl of your lashes. Does it achieve what it promises? Yes, not only will you see an improvement in the volume of your lashes but they will be visibly longer too!
The curved brush applicator is one of the largest I have seen and it can take a while to get used to it. I did suffer from mascara blobs on my eyelids for the first few applications when I first started using it. However once I had gotten used to using the applicator I stopped having any problems.
Applying with the brush in the bowl shape
One of the great things about this mascara that isn’t advertised is the ability to achieve two separate looks with it. If you use the curved brush in the bowl position, then you can get added volume but it doesn’t overly add to the length or curl. I have found this look perfect for day time use.
If you use the brush with the arch facing upwards, as it’s suggested in the instructions then you will see both an increase in volume and length. This helps to create a really dramatic look and goes really well with Smokey eyes.
How the lashes look after application
I personally don’t like applying false eyelashes; I find the whole process frustrating and incredibly difficult. In most cases I end up with lop sided eyelashes that irritate my eyes and end up falling off by the end of the night. I find that this mascara is a great replacement for false eyelashes. By simply adding two coats of this mascara I have found that I can achieve the same results as wearing false eyelashes. Without the glue and frustration!
The mascara has a great shelf life too; it doesn’t dry up as quickly as many of the other brands that I have tried. I have also found that if you add a little warm water to the bottle, when you are running out then it can still be used for a decent amount of applications, without its effectiveness being reduced.
This is a product that I would recommend to any friend that would listen; it has been out for a few years now and has proven itself over and over again. I still firmly believe that it is one of the best mascaras on the market and because it has been out for so long, it’s also a budget buy. The application is easy and it never clumps even after multiple coats. It also feels lightweight when wearing it; my eyelashes never feel heavy or crunchy. If you are going to try out only one new mascara this year, then I really do recommend The falsie volume express.
All ready :)
