I thought given the reputation that Sally Hansen has for designing a great line of nail polishes, that when this lacquer shine was produced, it would give a lot more shine. In order to get any kind of shine you have to wear a top coat with it. The color itself is a deep purple, almost black. The polish has shiny particles in it, not so much glitter, but it does have a lot of depth to it. It is really dark on nails though. It almost goes on too dark. It is hard to wear with you don't have a decent tan, it makes hands look very pale when you wear it. The nail lacquer itself is labeled "Glossy" and has the number 08 on the top of the brush.
I also had a really hard time removing this from my cuticles and nails after wearing for more than a few days. The darkness of the color really seeped into my nail, and left a dark smudge like spot on my nail that I actually had to scrape off. I'll remember to use a base coat if I wear this again. This polish is always an after thought to me also, it hasn't been and won't be my first choice in polishes.
