Pros: bold colors, even color, one coat coverage
Cons: need more than one coat, not that shiny, stains the nails and skins

I thought given the reputation that Sally Hansen has for designing a great line of nail polishes, that when this lacquer shine was produced, it would give a lot more shine.  In order to get any kind of shine you have to wear a top coat with it.  The color itself is a deep purple, almost black. The polish has shiny particles in it, not so much glitter, but it does have a lot of depth to it.  It is really dark on nails though.  It almost goes on too dark.  It is hard to wear with you don't have a decent tan, it makes hands look very pale when you wear it.  The nail lacquer itself is labeled "Glossy" and has the number 08 on the top of the brush.

I also had a really hard time removing this from my cuticles and nails after wearing for more than a few days.  The darkness of the color really seeped into my nail, and left a dark smudge like spot on my nail that I actually had to scrape off.  I'll remember to use a base coat if I wear this again.  This polish is always an after thought to me also, it hasn't been and won't be my first choice in polishes.

I absolutely love this color. It is a perfect shade of dark red that borders on a black. When the light hits the polish, the color truly stands out. My picture doesn't do this particular nail polish any justice. The color covers the nail without any problem. Read more

  • Great Color But Use a Top Coat!

    Reviewing Mama's picture

To be fair I initially bought the Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine Nail Color to use to try with a nail polish technique that creates a marbling effect. However, I am glad that I did. The colors are bold and fun. My biggest downfall for the colors is that they are a thinner nail polish. Read more
