Recently, I adopted a German shepherd / beagle mix from the local Humane Society, so I had to begin the process of finding treats she would eat. She's definitely not one of those dogs who will literally eat anything edible you put in front of them; she's picky. We gave her several different kinds of bones and biscuits, and she won't even touch most of them. She won't play with toys at all. But she goes absolutely nuts for every single flavor of Carry Out treats I have tried. She's had the bacon strips, the beef and cheddar bites, the beef bites, and the chicken strips. She gobbles them all up. As soon as she hears the bag crinkling in my hand, she runs over. She doesn't even give me a chance to give her the "sit" command! She sits on her own because she knows she'll get her treat faster that way. It's a nice bonus that the treats are very inexpensive. I can get a standard-sized bag for $1. It's also super convenient that they seem to be available for purchase just about anywhere. So far, I've bought them from Kroger, Walmart, and Dollar Tree. The only downside is having to tell her "no" when I see her eyeing the bag after she's already had more than enough treats for one day!
