Pros: affordable
Cons: cheap quality, loud

Ok, good things first. This is a good filter for smaller aquariums, 3 gallons or less. I use one in the betta tanks. Since it uses filter pads, it is a good place for beneficial bacteria to grow. It is good because it does not create a lot of excess flow, so fish can swim around just fine. It keeps the water clean and clear.

It has strong suction cups so you can adjust it to your water level. It is pretty small, so it doesn’t take up too much space.

Unfortunately, there are some issues with the filter. For one, unlike the other Whisper models, this small one uses an air pump. This air pump is the noisiest air pump I’ve ever heard, despite it being so small. It also does not sit properly on whatever surface you place it on, so it will vibrate around and be super duper annoying. This is definitely my biggest complaint about the product.

Other issues have included the air tube getting clogged and being really tough to clean and the top lid part snapping off almost immediately. It runs still without it, but it was poor craftsmanship. So, this is a cheap filter that will work, but be aware that the quality is not the best and it is very loud.
