Pros: affordable, comes in several colors, lightweight, on and off quickly

This is the first aero helmet I’ve worn. I did some research on different aero helmets and thought this was a good combination of being lightweight and affordable. I tried on a few different aero helmets at the TriSports store. I thought this helmet fit well and stayed in place. The buckle is also easy to use (some were not - there was one that I couldn’t figure out how to get off!), so it comes on and off quickly in races. My sunglasses also fit well under it. It comes in a few different colors too, so you can match it to your bike or race suit. After one practice ride, I started using the helmet in races. My times definitely got faster, so I think the helmet does make you faster. I was also happy to find that it didn’t get too hot in warm weather races. I do Olympic distance races, so I haven’t tried it out in any half Ironmans or Ironmans. The only drawback that I can think of is that if you wear it when you’re out riding with friends (which you shouldn’t really, you’ll look goofy!) you can’t hear each other talk because your ears are covered. So besides one practice ride, I would definitely save it for race day!
