Personal information: work-at-home mom to a 1 year old.
Pros: holds air well, perfect size for desk use, sand adds extra stability
I have never used this exercise ball in the traditional sense, for working out. Instead, it has served multiple purposes for me. I bought this ball when I was about 6 months pregnant because I developed sciatica, which made it painful to sit in a traditional chair. Also, as much stomach grew, the pressure got to be too much to sit flat in a chair. I am just under 5 feet 5 inches, and this 75 centimeter ball was the perfect height for me to sit at a desk. I worked in an office setting, which means this ball was exposed to fallen pens, staples and paper clips on a daily basis; I never ever had a problem.
The sand in the Stay Ball gives the ball extra stability. While less prone to tipping over, the ball still rolls around easily. This is perfect now that I use the ball to bounce my baby to sleep for nap time and each night at bedtime. I never feel as though I am about to tip over when on this ball, even when my feet are up. I have only reinflated this exercise ball a handful of time since putting it into full-time use well over a year ago. I appreciate the strength of this ball and that it has held up to hours and hours of daily use for so long.
