A few years ago when I started going on regular long walks, I sought out a comfortable pair of walking shoes since I kept returning home with blisters all over my feet. I searched several stores in the mall and was shocked at just how expensive good-quality sneakers were. I thought I struck gold when I found these Dr. Scholls sneakers since they were pretty inexpensive, and Dr. Scholls is advertised as a brand that is all about foot comfort and health. Much to my disappointment, I was not even able to finish my first walk in them because they were causing more pain and blistering than any other pair of sneakers I have owned before. I can't even wear them on days when I don't plan to do much walking, such as to class or a doctor's appointment, without having cuts on my heels by the time I get home. It is certainly tempting to pick up a brand like Dr. Scholls when you have a history of foot problems, but my experience is that the shoes are nowhere near as high quality as the brand's shoe inserts and other foot-support products.
