Pros: fit with orthotics, good support, good variety of colors, lightweight

This is the first pair of Mizunos I’ve worn, and I like them. I had to start running with orthotics, and when I put the orthotics in my other shoes, they didn’t fit well. The shoes were already so supportive and built up that with the orthotics it was too much in the bottom of the shoe. It was uncomfortable, and I got horrible blisters. I tried the Wave Inspire since they are still a support shoe but are lower profile and not as built up. They worked really well with my orthotics, and now they’re the only pair of shoes I wear with them. I’m hoping to be able to run without the orthotics someday, so I’ve tried the Wave Inspire without them a few times. They are pretty comfortable, so I’m hoping they’ll work for me without orthotics as well.

The only downside to this shoe is that they wear out quickly if you’re doing lots of trail running or hiking. I started hiking quite a bit with them, and the outside of the shoe got quickly worn down. I know they’re not meant to be trail shoes, so I may need to find trail shoes to wear for hiking.
