When my wife first informed me that we had a little bundle of joy on the way, I immediately went into super dad mode. I went through the entire house in an attempt to baby proof everything. I got door knob covers, outlet covers, the whole thing. But one thing that remained was simple things like refrigerator doors and cabinets with double doors. For those purposes, I decided to try a set of Dreambaby sliding locks.
Dreambaby Sliding Locks
The process of installing these child proof locks are easy. You only have to press the buttons and hold them in while sliding the locking mechanism off, place the lock around, or through, the door handles, and slide the lock back into place. Unfortunately, since it was so easy, it only took my child about two days to figure out how to undo them herself. Now, they are nothing more than a game to her, to see how many she can remove before I notice. They do work as intended, and will likely be a good starter set for someone with a small child, but if your child is like mine, it won't be long and you will be looking for a replacement way to keep your child out of cabinets.
