Living in a somewhat crowded neighborhood, we sometimes have issues with critters and bugs finding their way to our home from a neighbor's house. While there is not really much we can do about that, except to continue hiring exterminators in an effort to keep our own home free and clear of these pests, it can be quite annoying to deal with. So, when I saw the Riddex Plus Pest Repellant device, I thought it would be worth the small cost.
Riddex electronic pest repeller
The Riddex Plus pest repellant is a small device that plugs into an existing home electrical outlet. While the science behind the device is unclear to me, the gist of it is simple. It, somehow, puts out some sort of electronic signal that is supposed to send pests scurrying and keep them away. At least, that's what the packaging says. Unfortunately, it is all hype. After plugging in the device, absolutely nothing happened. The light came on, indicating that it should be working, but there was no real indication that it was doing anything at all to control pests. In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion that if I opened up the device, all I would find is a light. This product simply does not work, and is a waste of money.
