I’ve said in other reviews that spending a lot of money on shampoo--and on Pureology in particular--is totally worth it. Equally worth it is spending a lot of money on a good conditioner. There is nothing nastier than conditioner build-up, which is what you get when you use a cheap conditioner. Your hair feels waxy and limp after using cheap conditioner. It just doesn’t rinse out properly, and instead of having luxurious, shiny hair, you have limp, greasy-looking hair. Yuck. Of course, I’m only speaking from my personal experience, but I have pretty normal hair, so I can imagine it’s true across the board.

Pureology makes quite a few different conditioners, and they all are designed to do different things. I use the Hydrate conditioner because (a) I LOVE the smell. It has a minty smell that also makes your scalp tingle when you use it. And (b) it really does hydrate your hair. When you put it on and leave it for a minute or two, your hair just drinks it up and it rinses off clean, leaving your hair feeling smooth and clean, and not slimy!

I know Pureology is designed primarily for people who color their hair, but anyone can use it, and everyone should!
