Pros: close shave, cost effective, lubrication strip

The Gillette Mach 3 razor gives a wonderfully close shave, my husband loves it and won't use anything else. Besides using it to shave his face, he also uses it to shave his head. Very rarely will he have any painful nicks. The three blades are what gives the close shave, and the lubrication strip adds an extra bit of moisture to help ensure the razor glides smoothly over the skin. When the strip turns light in color, that is an indication that it is time to change out the blade cartridge. The cartridges themselves last for quite a few shaves, and sometimes my husband can go a couple of weeks without having to change one out.

When I am out of cartridges for my own razor, I will sometimes use the Mach 3. I find that it shaves as close, if not closer, than razors made specifically for women. By adding a little shaving gel, my legs are moisturized and smooth, and stay that way for a long time. While the cost of the replacement cartridges may seem expensive at first, keep in mind that you are saving money by not buying disposable razors. Your skin will stay much smoother and stubble-free for a longer time by using the Mach 3 razor.
