Pros: five blades, good moisturizer
Cons: blades wear out quick, moisturizing band goes away easy, too high priced

As a woman with thick, dark body hair, I go through razors constantly. I have tried nearly every razor available, including the Schick Hydro Silk razors. While this product is good for single shave, it falls short of being the best razor I have ever used.

The Hydro Razor comes in a single or multi-pack and can be purchased as a refillable or disposable. I bought the single disposable one to try it out. The razor is nicely made; it has a gel-type covering on the handle and is curved, which makes it fit nicely in your hand while shaving. It also has a nice moisturizing band on the top part of the blades to help moisturize your skin.

My problem is that the five blades cut great for the first shave, so-so for the second shave, and barely worked by the third shave. I am used to getting at least five good shaves out of a razor, especially one that is high-priced. Another problem with this razor is that the moisturizing band wears out after two shaves, leaving you with no moisturizer on a razor that has five blades.

Overall, I am not very impressed with the Schick Hydro Silk razors and do not plan to waste more money on these.
